Why WildSideSalmon Oil?
Made in the USA from Wild Alaskan Salmon.
For both Cats & Dogs!

They say that “Variety is the spice of life”. At WildSideSalmon we agree and that’s why we’ve expanded our product line to include pure, healthy products that will set the tone for happy, healthy living. A healthy diet including WildSideSalmon & the NEW WildSideLamb”n” treats along with our WildSideSalmon oil will give your companions a head start on the road to a long and prosperous life.

As your pets enter their twilight years they are more likely to begin suffering from loss of appetite, weaker joints and/or inflammation. This can result in arthritis, loss of appetite and reduced exercise. By adding WildSideSalmon oil to their diet regularly, you will notice a renewed interest and heightened awareness at meal time. A new spring in their step! They’ve also been known to show signs of excitement simply when the WildSideSalmon oil is removed from storage! (Customers tell us their pets have been known to be very vocal about it!) This is true for both Cats & Dogs!

You’ve all heard the news; it’s important to add an Omega-3 (fatty acids) supplement to your pet's diet as well as your own, but exactly how and why? It seems we learn more every day about the added benefits of fatty acids, especially polyunsaturated fats including Omega-3’s & 6’s. They are increasingly recognized as being important to good health for animals as well as people.

Omega-3s are essential building blocks that you and your dog or cat need for a healthy heart and strong immune system. These very healthy types of Omega-3 fatty acids such as EPA (eicosapentaenoic acid) and DHA (docsahexanoic acid) are found primarily in cold-water fish such as Wild Salmon, tuna, and mackerel. Aside from fresh seaweed, edible plants rarely contain EPA or DHA. Wild Salmon oil supplies a variety of different Omega-3 fatty acids, including DHA and EPA, making it the best source of these nutrients.

A third Omega-3, called ALA (alpha-linolenic acid), is found primarily in dark green leafy vegetables, flaxseed oil, and certain other vegetable oils.  ALA cannot be effectively absorbed by your pets. They must use several enzymatic steps in their metabolism to convert it into a useful configuration like EPA.

Many dogs are extremely poor in utilizing ALA, especially if high amounts of metabolically "competitive" Omega-6 fatty acids are present.  These dogs constantly suffer with skin problems unless their food is supplemented with EPA from sources such as WildSideSalmon oil. For Cats it gets even worse. Cats totally lack one of the metabolic enzymes to utilize ALA. WildSideSalmon oil is the answer here as well.

Daily use of WildSideSalmon oil promotes the relief of a pet's dry, itchy skin. It also helps to boost the immune system, foster a bright and lustrous coat, and support cardiovascular health.  Within two to three of weeks of using WildSideSalmon oil, you will notice the difference-and so will your pet!  The most visible benefits include less itching and shedding as well as a softer, healthier coat.
