Wildside Pet Products Uses No Ingredients from China

My name is Richard Phillips and I am the President of Phillips Seafoods, Inc. dba canam psi. You may be familiar with our WildSideSalmon pet treats and you may be concerned by the freeze drying and packaging of our Alaskan Salmon in China. I would like to take a few minutes of your time to assure you that our number one priority is now and has always been a Heathly, Safe treat for the pets of the World.

We only use 100% Wild Alaskan pink and keta salmon in our WildSideSalmon treats with no added ingredients. Purity and simplicity, coupled with state of the art processing techniques, have proven to be the safest and most nutritious way to produce our products.

WildSide Pet Products partnered with an Eco friendly Alaskan processing company to take 100% of the Alaskan salmon to China for filleting and freeze drying for destinations in Europe, Asia, Canada and the United States. Our treats have become an International phenomenon and are not simply for the US market. The trip directly to N.E. China from Alaska is a short distance by sea, and since 100% of these salmon are destined for the same processing location, it makes good sense to package our products close to where the wild salmon is caught.

Our state of the art, HAACP approved human grade food processing facility in China has the capability to fillet, freeze, prepare, freeze dry and package our WildsideSalmon products in a single location. The quality of our finished product is unsurpassed and backed by US independent lab tests, as well as by the USFDA.

What is HACCP? HACCP stands for Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points. The HACCP system focuses on identifying and preventing hazards that could cause foodborne illnesses rather than relying on spot-checks of manufacturing processes of finished seafood products to ensure safety. FDA's 1997 science-based HACCP regulations initiated a landmark program designed to increase the margin of safety that U.S. consumers already enjoyed and to reduce seafood related illnesses to
the lowest possible levels.

The main safeguard we have in place is the simplicity of a single, wild ingredient from Alaska. Wild Salmon are tested each and every season for a wide variety of contaminates including but not limited to heavy metals. Our products are produced in an HAACP approved human quality facility (with much higher standards) and not a pet food plant. The FDA also tests our products regularly to ensure quality.

Our long-term production partners in China have a state of the art facility which is monitored by our staff living in China. We also visit the facility several times each year to oversee production. The quality controls in place meet our high standards as I am sure they would meet yours.

Again, WildSideSalmon treats are tested and approved for human consumption and contain no ingredients from China, just 100% Wild Alaskan pink and keta salmon.
